COMING SOON!
Sorry its taking so long, but i promise ill post it as soon as possible!

Wincing The Night Away

Artist - The Shins

My good friend, Amelia, introduced me to this band about a week ago. I have not stopped listening to this album since. This band is like nothing i have ever heard. Especially the singer, his voice is the voice of our generation. Although the album is absolutely awesome, no album is perfect, it has only a few minor flaws. Their interesting combination of sounds and instruments combine to create a mind blowing experince. But putting aside the few songs that are nothing special, the rest of the album is like an orgasm. Including musical build ups and the use of background noises. I have to say that the most remarkable thing about this is the way that they manage to suprise you over and over again through the use of even the simplest of instruments, for example the acoustic guitar. Every song is like a new epiphany, and each time the lead singer, James Mercer hits a top note, the cells inside your brain wriggle. This album is a composition of music and intellect, creating a new experience for any person who claims they have heard all. Some of their songs come across as repetitive and a bit too bouncy at times, but just ignore those songs and focus on the purely insane creativity of the others. I have never heard an album so good, i fear that i will not be able to find a better band, but i will keep looking.

Neon Bible

Artist - Arcade Fire

This has to be one of the most revolutionary albums i have ever listened to. The mix of the Arcade Fire's unique instrument and the rock/opera singing combines to create a sound that i have never witnessed. The group is unusual, a combination of seven muscians, and an array of strange instruments, including organ and violin. Although the group appear some what far off what a stereotypical 'band' is expected to look like these days, the music that they produce is unique and it sends a shiver down your spine. They are unique, and at times appear a bit too unique, striving for what is called 'the ultimate sound' and they don't quite make it, and some of the songs end up dragging a bit leaving you with a loathing sort of feeling. This is only evident in some of the songs, and is easily forgotten once you move on to the rest of the album. Although at first you may not be so intrigued by all the songs, i tell you to persevere and you will see how good they really are, it took me a few times to really like all the songs. Arcade Fire, unknown to most of the people in the world, are a unique taste i admit, but a unique taste that everyone should adapt too. I am looking foward to their next album and i emplore you to buy this bible of genius.
